SN 80 is Group I light base oils also called spindle oil which has viscosity at 100 C around 3,0 – 3,5 cSt or 12,5-14,0 cSt at 40C. The product has a light colour and a low flash point but very good low temperature properties which allows SN 80 to be desired for artic applications. SN 80 base oils is manufactured from paraffinic crude oil at the base oils unit where vacuum distillates being refined usually though solvent dewaxing.

D760 viscosity modifier of Chinese origin with HS Code 400299 is a high molecular weight polymer with styrene content of 6.0-7.5%wt. It`s functionality is derived from their thickening efficiency, viscosity–temperature relationship, and shear stability. The product is produced by the plant in China with availability of powder form.

Key properties of D760 properties are:

Improved Viscosity Index (VI): D760 increases the VI of a fluid. A higher VI indicates that the fluid’s viscosity changes less with temperature fluctuations. This combats the tendency of the oil to become thin at high temperature.

Enables the engine to start (crank) at low temperatures, as measured by cold cranking simulator viscosity (CCS).
