Gazpromneft, subsidiary of Russian gas champion Gazprom, has started production of TDAE (treated distillated aromatic extract) rubber plasticizer at its Omsk refinery, the company reports. The investment of ~400 mln RUB (~7 mln USD) was required to effect modernization and reach the output capacity of ~17000 tons per year of TDAE.
TDAE is used to increase flexibility in automotive tires, synthetic rubber and rubber products. Gazpromneft will be able to load the product for export markets.
Omsk TDAE is REACH registered and performed well during recent extensive tests with one of the tire majors.
