- The raw material base of the third generation is algae. They are specially grown, but this does not require either fresh water or land. Unpretentious algae allow getting fuel without consuming valuable resources.
Different generations of biofuels differ in their ecological characteristics. Biomass from the second and third groups are the most preferred option for fuel production.
HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is second-generation synthetic diesel fuel. It is 100% renewable and provides an advanced alternative to conventional diesel. HVO biodiesel is produced by hydrotreating vegetable oils (no palm oil), which results in a high-quality fuel, the chemical structure of which is almost identical to conventional diesel fuel.
Bioethanol is an alternative liquid clarified fuel that can be used in gasoline engines. It is obtained by fermentation from agricultural products containing starch or sugar, such as grain, sugar cane, corn, potatoes, sugar beets, molasses, sorghum. Bioethanol cost is quite affordable.
